President's Message

Greetings for June, 2006!

General elections were held at our April meeting with the following officers elected:
President - Donna W. Collins, CRM
Vice-President - John Powers
Secretary - Lisa Blackwell
Treasurer - Henrietta Sanders
Director - Sally Cobb (1st year of 2 year term)
Director - Kathy Mann (1st year of 2 year term)
We still have Lisa Walker and Denise Christian serving their 2nd year of 2 year terms as directors.

After our meeting, we adjourned to tour the archives of Alabama Power Company, now celebrating its 100 year anniversary. The artifacts were amazing and we again thank member Lisa Walker for setting up the tour.

Don't forget our upcoming meeting on June 15, 2006 at Alabama Power Company's Electra Room located in the food court at 600 North 18th Street. Bring your lunch or visit the food court for lunch at approximately 11:00 a.m. Our meeting begins at 11:30 a.m. This month we'll have our installation of officers and a workshop on the CRM exam. We'll provide information on how to qualify and apply for the exam. We'll discuss each of the test parts and how to best prepare for them.

We won't have a July or August meeting, but will resume regular meetings on the third Thursday of each month beginning September 21st, 2006.
