President's Message

Greetings in February, 2006!

Reservations are arriving for our upcoming seminar on March 9-10, 2006. We have great speakers and a great facility lined up for the event. If you haven't made your reservation yet, please check out the link on the home page and send your reservation in today.

By an extremely close vote of the Birmingham ARMA members after our last meeting, we will be meeting again at Alabama Power Company's headquarters office at 600 North 18th Street. The date will be the third Thursday, February 16th. Lunch begins at 11:00 with the meeting starting at 11:30. There is no set menu but there is a food court in the building serving pizza, meat and vegetables, salads and soups along with many other offerings. By the way, if you did not receive an e-mail to vote on the possible meeting place change you're not a Birmingham ARMA member. Join today!

In keeping with our seminar theme of disaster planning, our speaker for February will be Scott Maxwell with Belfor, a restoration and reconstruction company. We will also be asking for volunteers for a Nominating Committee for the officers for next year. If you're interested in serving, please let me know. There is no reservation required or set cost since it's BYOF (Bring-Your-Own-Food)! For additional information, please contact Alice Payne.
