President's Message
MEETING INFORMATION --
This is a reminder that we will have our regular Birmingham ARMA meeting Thursday, January 18th at Vestavia Country Club. Lunch will be served promptly at 11:30 and the meeting will start at 12:00. Our speaker is Alton Sizemore with the forensic accounting firm, Summerford Accountancy. Alton was one of our most popular speakers from last year and plans on speaking about digital discovery, what to do if an employee is suspected of illegal use of company computers, and other topics related to electronic information. The meal cost is $15.00. I will be sending a message next week to request attendance confirmations. Please remember, 'no shows' will be billed since we have to pay them for the number of meals ordered.
REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE --
The City of Foley, AL is in the process of reviewing and revising some of their filing systems and procedures. They have requested that anyone from ARMA who feels they can assist with this process by making a site visit to look at what they have and possibly offer suggestions or opinions please let them know. They have not issued a request for consulting work; they're just interested in some free input and information if any of us have the time and ability to assist. If you feel in a position to assist them, please contact me for additional information.
