In association with Lorman Education Services, Birmingham ARMA is proud to present John Lazuk, CRM, who will be providing content training on Electronic Records Management. Topics include E-Discovery, Electronic Records Management of Email and Documents, Electronic Document Retention and Destruction, and Compliance Issues.

John Lazuk, Certified Records Manager, is a senior manager with the Legal Business Consulting practice of Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, LLP, in Atlanta , Georgia . There he assists a wide range of clients in developing and implementing comprehensive records and information management programs, including records retention schedules, legal hold and eDiscovery strategies, and electronic records policies and procedures. Over a 25 year career, Mr. Lazuk has helped build programs for state and local government agencies, legislative committees, schools, courts, hospitals and health care facilities, non-profit organizations, and private and public companies. He has served as the local government archivist for the State of Oregon , responsible for providing records management advice and assistance to key state and all local government agencies, and as a regional advisory officer for the New York State Archives and Records Administration. He has worked for Fleet Financial Services and Rockefeller College at The State University of New York at Albany . After eight years as a records and information manager for CSX Transportation and its affiliated companies, he became the corporate records manager for the Rock-Tenn Company, a manufacturing firm in Atlanta with international operations. Mr. Lazuk has worked as an independent consultant to private and public companies, and conducted hundreds of training sessions and workshops on all facets of records and information management. He is a long-time ARMA International member and a three-time past president of the Jacksonville , Florida chapter. He is an active member of the Institute of Certified Records Managers , AIIM International, and ARMA.
